Carrie has been teaching for around 11 years and absolutely loves her work. They escaped the rat race 4 years ago and has dedicated their time to teaching mindful Yoga and Pilates classes full time since then. Sound healings and meditations have always been a big part of Carrie's teachings since they discovered the powerful and life changing effects of meditation and sound in their own life.
During this session, Carrie will use gongs and singing bowls to create a soundscape that will take you on a relaxing and meditative journey, leaving you calm, focussed and thoroughly relaxed.
Alex has been teaching yoga for six years and has been a key person in getting the Festival Sessions Zen Tent together! Alex will expertly guide you through the whole Zen Tent Experience as well as leading a restorative yoga practice following the sound healing.
Sally is a yoga teacher, coach and psychologist who believes in the magic and power of embodied movement, yoga and music to reconnect to yourself and to embrace life to its fullest potential. She offers yoga, therapy, coaching and group events in community, school, corporate and studio settings. Sally embraces movement as a tool to support emotional wellbeing, providing space to step from the mind into the body and enabling more space to be more of who we already are! Sally is a therapeutic yoga specialist in training, and this weekend will be offering the embodied practice of Shake the Dust.
During this session you will experience movement practice set to music, starting with a grounding, slow and restorative vibe and moving into dancing, intuitive movement and allowing the body to lead. This class is designed for anyone and for all levels, and invites you into the body, heart and mind, guiding you to explore the flow state, playing with form and formlessness, and connecting to the present moment through breath. Perfect to set you up for the rest of your day and beyond!
